Young Voices Concert 18th January 2015

Wow! A fantastic day yesterday at the Young Voices concert at the Sheffield Arena! Our choir joined with over 5 000 children from across Yorkshire to perform for a packed (but very appreciative) audience.
Congratulations to our choir not only on their enthusiasm, super participation and great singing but also for their excellent conduct throughout the whole day. Without exception, they were all a credit to their school and their families - I was very proud of them all!

Thank you Dishforth YV Choir! And a special thank you to Mrs Nuttall for all her hard work in helping the choir prepare for the concert.
Thank you also to parents for supporting children to learn their words and especially for coming to Sheffield for the concert; the children were so excited to see you!

If you weren't able to make the concert in Sheffield, then there is still another chance hear our choir performing some of the songs later this half term. We will be part of a joint concert with choirs from the other Thirsk Schools who also participated in Young Voices this week. It will be held at St Mary's Church, Thirsk on Wednesday 10th February at 6:30pm.

There were certainly some tired children in school this morning but well done, for coming in with a smile. Yesterday was a very long day for us all (we left school at midday and returned at about 11:15 pm) but a fantastic experience all round! Possibly some early bedtimes tonight? I know it will be for me!
